Eco-Log Modular Homes S.A.R.L. was established in early 2003 with the objective of creating a wood processing industry in Lebanon specialized in the manufacture and erection of  Wood Frame Houses as well as Log Cottages, Chalets. Service and Leisure units.

This novelty product in Lebanon, presumably in the Middle East area also, was the result of wide efforts contributed by the founder of this business project, a former banker and businessman who, by way of coincidence, created a state of the art manufacturing facility during the nineties for log and wood frame houses in Romania in association with a Finn, French and Lebanese group.  

On his return to Lebanon in late 99, after some 30 years of banking and business endeavors in 15 different countries, he felt that certain advanced building technologies remain untapped in Lebanon to help home buyers acquire genuinely affordable and healthy homes in the mountain areas and rural regions of the country, to create new jobs for the unemployed in those places  and eventually assist in the development of the housing sector for the public at large and in particular to that segment of young people of low to medium income that is constantly in search of socially descent accommodation to start building a sustainable family life.

By the time the search was over for an industrial site to build a factory that fits the purpose, install machinery and obtain industrial licensing in due course, a demonstration house was built in the factory hall during spring of 2006 to begin an advertising campaign thereafter to attract the attention of individual home buyers or, real estate  developers or, otherwise, in order to visit the factory and   view the demonstration house to learn more of the advantages of wood frame construction.
